Uh.... I think we'll get to that part in the new season, but I'd say don't worry too much about it, cause it's not too many deaths, and it was a plot point in a way.

Finished the light novel, kinda like ToCF but the MC is more bloodthirsty. No romance for our MC, but a lot of fights to look forward to. Spoilers down below.
Obviously Chronos loses their war, and Dmitri kima gets to become their own country. It ends kinda wild, cause there is an arc at the end where our MC travels to the modern world taken over by monsters HAHA
