I won't be as direct as you but yes it's really bothering me that there are so many official translations here. Like, obviously, thank you to the people who used their money to share what others couldn't afford, but... Buying the english official digital release and posting it here isn't scanlation anymore, it's plain stealing and it also becomes super easy for editors to find their work and to sue aggregator websites :/
Idk maybe I'm being a boomer here but I miss the old days when every scanlation teams would actually be working on the release and make anotations and stuff - the kind that improved the reading experience. Official translations are localized so half the jokes and puns and japanese pop culture references disappear (or are replaced with american ones, anyway we readers aren't winning). Where did the passion go?
Most scan teams choose to stop working on things when it gets an official out of respect so the author can earn more, so unless you wanna deal with terrible MTL i’d learn to be grateful towards the uploaders who are spending hundreds of dollars to give you stuff to read when you don’t pay a single dime.
Actually fuck hundreds of dollars, I spend a whopping $1k-$2k every year on both officials and my scan projects.

Well, I also buy what I read here as soon as it gets printed (most of it does, I live in France) so I also spend several k€ a year on manga. But this is not a dick contest, I've stated my opinion (I'm not sure you read it before getting offended). And honestly I stand by it. I agree with you, MTL is shit, but I'd rather see my favorite manga not updating, than see my favorite aggregator be closed because people upload the original scans there.
