MC's mother is just really manipulative and is guilt tripping her into sacrificing herself for her family - earlier by using the accident and now by idek how to call it. Their situation? Now that I think about it, her mother was toxic af even before. Like while multiply asking if MC really want her at school etc
Also the rest of the family can eat shit tbh. They're just go with whatever the mother does for their own comfort. They're not above using MC to get some profil not caring about her situation or feelings
