If the tragedy didn’t happen… I don’t think he’ll be a good husband to Rapiel…. I mean if you drag your pregnant husband like that to taunt other people… doesn’t really make you a good partner. Choose them because they look like a certain man you’ve been lusting.
It would have been more of a marriage of convenience, the point of choosing Rapiel was to have a sense of stability.
His thoughts about the partnership was mundane and boring. He’ll probably try and be loving out of guilt… imagine describing your life with a potential partner that way ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I wish we get to see Aeroc with another man… someone better. If the prize is Kloff… I mean… anyone would be better
A good husband? Yes. A good partner? I doubt it. His vision of marriage is a pure game of loss and gain. After all, he didn't love him, neither in this life nor in the next. He is an intolerant man, with a very closed worldview, as for example in the case of relationships between two alphas. He is such a conservative "crypto gay". I will ignore his explosive nature and doing everything to get his way. Maybe a relationship with Lord will teach him a bit of empathy, because at the moment he only interested in him.
But this all did not happen. Kloff and Rafael together lived quite happily. Kloff cared for Rafael. Think as a human not as a god or a novel leader. When you marry someone it's doesn't always have to be for love, there may be a lot of reasons or benefits, what matters is that you stay faithful and respect and love ur partner. Kloff did that for Rafael. You are just imagining the worst of him in ur head. It is quite clear in the story that Kloff had been nothing but good to Rafael.
I have the same reply to you as I do to the above person. Kloff didn't do any of what you r saying. While in marriage he loved Rafael and was faithful. He never forced Rafael. Whatever happened or however his character changed was after Rafael dying. He had grown up in a struggling environment, seeing his whole family gone drove him to his worst self.
As for ur point of being for loss and gain, I am also such a person. But I know for a fact that even if I consider loss or gains to marry someone, maybe I even consider money and standing cause you need to do that to live in this world as a human, but I will always be loyal and care for them. Interest and crushes aren't everything. While I do think he could have had a backbone and went for Aeloc(who caught his eye) but his calculative self for sure didn't consider it worth the effort (specially taking how arrogant Aeloc was back then). Am sure in this life we will get to see it tho (⌒▽⌒)
I’m being honest. I’m not trying to fight you. But he doesn’t respect Rapiel, if he did, he would have just avoided Aeroc. If you know someone likes you and he did know Aeroc did, he should have avoided him for his family’s sake. You’re starting a family, do you really need the drama?
To smirk or flaunt your so-called happiness for validation and gain is just pathetic. Why play a mind game? Which I can’t help but feel sad people like you don’t seem to see… he uses Rapiel as a tool? Is that really a healthy good relationship like you said…?
And yeah. Kloff Bendyke is the worst for me, worst freaking ML in kr bl, I’ve read. He didn’t deserve Rapiel nor Aeroc in any world.
If you read the IF stories, he admitted he shouldn’t have married Rapiel. He forced himself to defy what he truly felt, he should have left Rapiel go and instead pursued Aeroc. Which is sad for Rapiel…
In book 5 he was even rude to Rapiel… he made him cry. Like… sure let’s acknowledge you like Aeroc, but did you had to be rude to Rapiel? You used him to fulfill your sense of stability, I know there’s guilt too but did you had to do that?
I know it sounds cruel, but he was truly a coward who only married for convenience, which a lot of people do. Do they make good partners, sometimes. He would have stayed and fulfilled his duties but it would have been out of guilt.
Season 2 is a mirror of his thoughts about his relationship with Rapiel in s1… so I don’t know why you think he’ll be a good husband when it was emphasized that he was planning to propose for all the wrong reasons. He’ll be a good provider, no doubt about that… he’ll love his kids with Rapiel.. and make sure Rapiel lives a long comfortable life.. but that’s it.
The way he dismisses Rapiel during their dates is very telling.. it’s sad.. you’re always late or barely around, but you have a supportive lover.. can’t you at least be more attentive? If you say it’s the imprint, so we won’t know… that’s true. But I truly believe it’s going to be an unhappy marriage, you don’t need to force yourself, beat them for it to be bad relationship. It could be as simple as small things… that the young Rapiel won’t notice but as he grows more mature will be resentful.
Rapiel is more invested in the relationship than Kloff sadly. He truly tried… and he married a man who didn’t know how to value him. If only Linus Wolflake didn’t wait too long for Rapiel to mature and married him.. he would have been a better husband who truly loved Rapiel.
I'm sorry but I can't agree with you.
It's seems to me too naive and light approach. I think their relationship is based very much on what was during that time. marriage is a business. Kloff is explosive, sadistic, he does what he benefits from. The death of her husband is how he abused Aelock... I think it's out of frustration, he couldn't have what he wanted. besides, in this life it is clear that Rafael never interested him, and the whole plot revolves around Kloff and Aelock fuck up relationship. Even in that life he was fixated on having Aelock
As someone who has a love/hate relationship with kloff I understand that perspective but I agree with the other commenters i dont think all his behavioral issues wouldn’t exist if rapiel didnt get killed. Though I don’t think he would have hit rapiel, I believe there are signs indicating he had a temper and violent tendencies in general. his tendency to taunt aerock also makes me think if aerock held out kloff may have slipped up and made a pass. I can see him helping him as a financial advisor and getting in an anger induced make out lol He even admitted to being taken with Aerock but described himself as a “realistic” man in the first timeline which makes it seem like he thought rapiel was easy. Although Rapiel might not have noticed this and been happy, Wolflake genuinely loved him, so rapiel would have missed out on a partner who had real passion for him to be in one where his husband worked all the time, ignored him and used him to rile someone up.
I understand. Instead of calling it light tho, I would call it how the world works. What u r experiencing right now is called "protagonist halo" popularly in Chinese novels. Whatever you say won't change the fact that what started the Domino effect was Aeloc going after Rafael.
If you read the manga actually (or maybe it was in the novel), it is shown that initially what Kloff started for revenge against Rafael later turned around since he himself felt desire for Aeloc, whenever he felt that he would remember what happened to Rafael, he would feel guilty for having feelings for Aeloc and in turn took that out on Aeloc by torturing him. Kloff is for sure a despicable person. But I still do not see where in the manga it is shown that Kloff treated Rafael badly, whether emotionally or another ways. Rafael was happy. Don't twist facts around because you hate a character.
While I understand you have ur own interpretation of the characters feelings and motives. There is nothing clear about stories and characters, that is a naive approach. But I can see why you feel what you feel about the character.
When I initially read the novel I also remember waking up till late and feeling a lot of emotions. That feeling has been washed away tho. You are mixing all their lifetimes as the same person, no they were not the same person. When Aeloc is reborn (where the manga is at), the Kloff of this life is different and has come in contact with a different Aeloc. What makes a person are his experiences. Often what makes us good or bad are our experiences too. An example is hoe the Kloff of this life doesn't end up like that of previous one. So would we call this Kloff bad too? Should you be blamed for what ur body double is doing in a parallel universe?
But he was rude to him in world 1. Dragging him to event, you could see that Rapiel was struggling from what he looked like. But it seems you’re truly under the impression that it’s a good relationship, so it’s kind of no use explaining because for you the bare minimum is good, being someone replacement well seems great (no one deserves.)
In Author’s Note… it was confirmed Kloff knew Aeroc’s feeling in world 1 and was interested, but there is a difference between recognizing it and accepting it. He was interested too, but chooses the easier route. The sad part for me is… if he did love Rapiel, instead of attending those social gatherings to see and flaunt things to Aeroc, he should have focused on Rapiel. Meaning he was dismissive of Rapiel’s feelings and is again rude to him. He truly only cared for himself. It’s not even about Aeroc or Rapiel, it’s all self serving.
I understand. But this is not world 1. This is not that Kloff. If you remember in the novel, one of the reasons Kloff didn't choose Aeloc in world 1 was also that he found Aeloc very arrogant which yes Aeloc was back then. I don't blame him for going for Rafael. He didn't know what future would hold but at the moment he made the choice he thought was best. No different than any woman choosing her husband and considering his background and personality. He wasn't rude to Rafael even the novel, dismissive you can say. I also feel there is no use explaining to u anymore. I clearly have said I understand ur interpretation (filled with hate tho it might be) but my interpretation also stands. Please be miserable about Kloff alone and don't impose it on me. I get it and I understand where u come from. Kloff is like ur piggy/scapegoat for the plot. Whereas I am genuinely very impressed by how the author depicted how just some differences in a person can cause so many changes in three parallel universes.
Author’s Note said Kloff found Aeroc attractive, he wasn’t like the other nobles, he was different and intelligent and purer in a way. But pride of being in a relationship with someone uncertain made him choose Rapiel. He couldn’t see himself being the Countess in a sense… which if he had pursued this relationship with Aeroc, he would have been treated well and respected.
Yes, Aeroc was arrogant but that wasn’t the reason.
I’m just telling you my opinion and how it horrifies me that Kloff’s behavior in book 1 seems acceptable as a partner for you… i mean it was really unacceptable for Rapiel to be someone’s replacement. To be dragged like that…
I gave Kloff a chance when I read all six volumes but the man just made me love and hate him. I like the complexity of his character, he was his own antagonist. If you read volume 2 it shows you what kind of person he was… which again is sad, because Aeroc kept saying what a great man he was. This was great to you? But neither didn’t know each other, both Aeroc and Kloff had this image of another.
As for scape goat… well his not.. I mean the author did put him such high regard that she too blamed Aeroc for everything. But the thing is… we create all our hell. If Kloff left Aeroc alone and just focused on his life… he would have been loved by Rapiel and had beautiful kids. While Aeroc could have found a partner who would have treated him just as well. But Kloff couldn’t let go… if someone likes you or you feel was being rude to you… why repeatedly see them? It doesn’t make sense… what are you trying to prove?
As for world 2 Kloff.. I love and hate the man. But I saw him try his best to be a better supporting husband when he saw that his selfish approach in the relationship has to change. It was version who grew up.
You are free to think that Kloff would be a good husband, but that’s just sad.
So happy that people are debating about this. I've been yapping to myself after reading the novel. ╥﹏╥
To OP this 2nd timeline will def have a happy ending so dw, bendyk is less insane.
Honestly tho, if taewind didn't do what he did i do think that bendyk and rapiel will just live their quiet life. I mean idk about bendyk being a great partner but he def have a sense of responsibility and will try his best to fulfil his duty as a husband. Bare minimum maybe but not a bad husband I guess. Def better than the person he turned into after the incident.
And although bendyk is very very very shit he apparently is able to be very loving towards taewind. IF ONLY HE COULD JUST DO THAT IN THE FIRST TIMELINE (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
It’s fun debating. It’s fun to see other people’s perspectives about the relationship if the tragedy didn’t happen. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Unfortunately it does get heated sometimes hahaha
Kloff does have a sense of responsibility, but for me it’s what he promised when he married Rapiel. So for me it’s partnership, so providing emotional and financially is really the bare minimum. I believe he would provide and give his best efforts to Rapiel.. but I would have loved to see Kloff just give his 100% to Rapiel and moving forward from Aeroc.
He won’t cheat on Rapiel, that is one thing I strongly believe about Kloff. But how he’ll react to Aeroc moving on from him… will be interesting. I think he’ll be the one to reinsert himself in Aeroc’s life as a financial advisor. I did write a fanfic about it.. but that’s just my take on the situation, some people genuinely believe it would work for Rapiel and Kloff. For me… it’s more of a marriage of convenience, it would be more of a supportive friendship rather than a love partnership.
It really depends how you interpret the outcome.. but it’s fun whatever route is taken. It’s an interesting story with complex characters.
I love the novel hope they published a physical version… I’d buy it in a heartbeat
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ yess
Bendyk def won't be able to give his 100% to rapiel lmao he's such a clown for taewind he's just full of his ego and won't take the risk in the first timeline.
I do think it will work between bendyk and rapiel if the incident didn't happen tho. But who knows if it'll last long or not.
Both bendyk and taewind has faults here so I can't really say taewind didn't do anything wrong. 90% of my hatred goes to bendyk tho :D
I remember being so mad cus bendyk chose to marry rapiel and not taewind just because it's 'easier' for him since rapiel is like the omega version of taewind. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ this whole thing could've been avoided if only u choose to not be a wimp and confess or do something idk! I'm so mad that I wish he's real just so that I could punch him.
I love this story so much ╥﹏╥ I love how the characters r being portrayed and the plot, THE ANGST
I can't wait for the third timeline ♡
I was just being hopeful… I mainly feel bad for Rapiel that he married that man. I did mention that I wrote fic about it and exploring that marriage made really sad… I feel like Kloff would overcompensate with gifts, a bigger house and so on, as his guilt overwhelms him. While Rapiel would eventually as he becomes more mature would see things for what they are…
But like you said kloff is a clown for Aeroc… I always believed if the tragedy didn’t happen, Kloff would just reinsert himself in Aeroc’s life and Aeroc who I’m hoping sees through the bullshit calls him out. Well that’s just my take…
Divorce is unfortunately not really an option before.. it would be damaging for a woman’s reputation… so an omega would be shamed for it. So separation is not an option. (When you got so invested in a story you got curious about the time back then and made research )
Aeroc had his mistakes too. I’d agree with you. I really really wondered what would have happened if he just took that trip and got himself some time for himself. That trip would have helped him see that he was being dragged in this nonsensical cesspool… he can like Kloff.. but it shouldn’t ruin what he is. Self-heal before returning and keeping healthy boundaries. I truly believe with time.. Aeroc would have just accepted it and just look back find it silly… or maybe it would scare him to getting his shit together.
Let’s punch Kloff together sister! That’s what pissed me off and the damn If stories made it me a lot more angrier (it’s beautiful but damn it Kloff!)
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I love this story so much.. I tried searching the internet for everything. I made accounts to look for side stories anything… hahaha (I keep putting this on seven seas survey )
I also can’t wait for the third timeline.. I know it’s unpopular, but all three timelines were incredible. I really enjoyed it… the angst and character portrayal it was just chef’s kiss!

This finally happening but I feel this life time also don't have good ending, kloff is kloff, he have issues and he always need to fuck up everything
