if i had a nickel for every time i read ‘a mother’s death anniversary’ on this site today, id have two nickels. which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
Maybe to keep the character count on the low part, or they didn't want to include the stigma they brought to the story?Or just to make a sad background. simply absurd

For webtoon sometimes it just for keeping the character count low, because they didn't even mention again in the story. Like the fact sometimes they isekai, it just mentioned to include isekai genre. With no relation to the plot.

I may agree on the “ sad background “ part, but i always keep thinking it’s because they don’t want to bring extra actors for parents lol , same goes for manga it’s so they don’t have to draw more characters (≧∀≦)
