Mc- Main Character
Ml- Male Lead
If it's a bl, we usually call the main character mc and their love interest ml bc both of them are men. In a straight story we usually call the the girl fl (female lead) and the guy ml. Does that make sense?

MC and ML can actually be used on both Straight romance and BL .. That's why it's confusing on some..
MC- Main character (male or female)
ML- Male lead
FL-Female Lead
