Raymond isn't a bad guy nor he is a good person either, the author just wrote that he regrets it too late now. I mean what can he do? it's how the story should go anyway, it's what the author wants . He regrets it period, i wouldn't even date a person with that kind of personality either coz he took familiarity for granted like his father did . I can't blame the old Agnes for being so infatuated with Raymond given of how she grew up and Raymond kinda blamed Agnes because he didn't get to be with his mother in her final moments and for that it's understandable of why he treated her like that. Still you don't get to play or act like a sad sack because Agnes ended up choosing Kylo. You got to own up your decision that you hate her well because she was harrassing you . There are no do overs once the other person changed their mind for good. Suck it up Raymond and just marry someone else maybe do what your father did and repeat the cycle all over again to the next generation
