My friend is blind so I know how they act. And we are not talking about the sword thing or whatever. He heard a sounds, he turns around and he knows who the person is without that person speaks first. Also in many scenes, he actually look to the direction where the sounds come from, usually blind people stand still to make their ears focus. There are more but I couldnt finish the series so... Pay attention to details.

I think ur the one doing the stereotype here. No one ever said anything about swords or cook. Its rather how he reacts to every little things (I dont even care to list) makes me believe hes not. Even if u like the manga, please dont ever look this fact. I feel like the author used his blindness as a poor attempt to make his past sadder and completely forgot about this in the whole series. I totally forgot that hes blind until they remind me at the end. Idk how a blind person supposed to act but I read many other manga that portrays a blind person, I can actually feel he's blind by his behaviors. I have to say this manga failed miserably. Using a disability to get sympathy is a big task. If the author couldnt handle this theme, better not do it at all since its really a delicate matter.
