Even maxi realizes that she can’t really expect for riftan to open up more while she herself still doesn’t want to share some parts of her past. Everything about their relationship and both of their personalities and reasons behind their actions is actually pretty clearly understandable, but there are stil people seeing riftan as the main problem in their relationship. They both need to work on their communication and they definitely will, the love they have for each other is what brings them closer and sometimes pull them apart since they are still accommodating to be married and share a life together, plus the lack of informations about the other’s past and both the idealistic image they have of the other, not to forget their insecurities and lack of confidence as a husband for Riftan and as a wife and lady of their land for maxi. But my babies will pass this, even if it takes a lot of time, just be patient guys
