Though I have to say that the only two i liked were Fairly tale for you- which Wins first place in this list and the second one will be Toukyou Lastochika but I think they should have developed it much more than what they did.

As for me I liked Toukyou Lastochika, but I agree with you. I feel that especially around the last 2 or 3 chapters, the author decided to let several events speed up but this is just my opinion. :)

Wow you've actually read everything under the historical tag, I'm impressed. I could only read mangas which plot and/or art interests me. Then sadly I can't recommend you any since I'm pretty sure you've already read them. Too bad I wasn't of any help.(￣∇￣")
