Exactly!! Annette was able to break free from her hell and is in the middle of healing from her own trauma, but because Heiner couldnt (not that he's even trying), he wants her to keep him company in his own hell because he couldnt stomach the fact that he's still stuck while she isn't when he believes that he wouldnt be in this hell if he didnt fall for her in the first place
He imagined her to be some Madonna/Savior to get him through the hard times and now can't acknowledge that she's just a person with her own thoughts and feelings and who can change.
He's stuck in it and pulling her down with him.
