I found out while looking for spoilers about the novel. So Aster is the chosen male lead by the System but the end game male lead for our MC is Enoch the magic tower guy. And the duke didn’t cheat on his wife. He was very loyal to her. She is genuinely just an adopted daughter with no blood related ties to the Clemend Dukedom whatsoever. She got adopted by the Duke because she was destined to save the empire based on a prophecy in which she has to absorb a jewel owned by the temple. The Duke was there when it happened leading to his adoption to her. This is what I gathered based on the very short existing spoilers that I found. I may have gotten some wrong about her adoption but this is what I could gather.
