It is always full of people so it is safe but still from 9pm every shop starts closing and till 10pm the city is already asleep so she should refrain from going around during night and should use maps to check distance or else they will charge you triple or more and will literally make 500m distance 2km by roaming around also I found it expensive there in comparison to other vacation city like Rishikesh. Also the drivers and other people are so so extrovert and will pester you like crazy so be ready to talkback them. BEAWARE OF THE BOAT SCAM, we got scammed by paying 2.5k for 200₹ ride
