I love this. It really shows the hypocrisy and all around grossness of novels like "suddenly became a princess one day".
Like this man mistreated his daughter then later decides to "atone" his actions by terrorizing anyone who dared treat her the same way he did or just for being rational/apathetic about her.
Plus it really is creepy how the others react to a whole family being annihilated or bankrupted simply for irritating the princess or the emperor. Laughing likes it's nothing as one of the many victims is literally standing in the corner waiting to eat possibly poisonous food.
