I think anything she did to help him would've made matters even worse, look at his actions when she was being nice to him. It was never her job to fix him. He had choices, he made bad ones and now that bed he made is just right for that ass to lay in.

It's not MC's job to teach or give him a chance. She did her best being nice when she could, but she can't babysit & teach him 24/7 and also have a job, especially with him secretly stalking her and getting close to her family behind her back.
And let's think. Letio was so OBSESSED with her to the point of DRUGGING and using her family. Do you think, if she was nicer or let him feel even closer to her, while STILL being close with the prince, that he would not still go through such extreme methods?

Letio never got a chance and I think it's unfair how Selena never stood up for him when in front of Ignis. For example, when Ignis was getting all mad at Letio for being present at her house, she should've stood up for Letio because if he wasn't there, her whole family would've been assassinated. But she just dismissed him which made me lose hella respect for her. And not only that but she keeps me blaming herself when she was literally coerced. I was drawn to the female lead cuz she was different but now she just seems like the typical female character.
