The grand duke did call out the emperor for his behavior towards his own biological son, though. But it wasn’t enough and now the prince doesn’t feel like telling anything related to his situation to his father. He just gives him the information he needs to maybe “defeat” the empress. Hence, I also hate his father as much as I hate his mother.
