I heard from another person that it's going to take a long time :(

When she's at 14 yrs old but not quite they will know her true appearance however they need to dispelled the black magic so the real appearance will be revealed at age 17 or 18

So does this mean she won't be reunited with her family and won't have a connection with them?

She will. They're reunited bcuz Dana and the priest confirmed it, she can't take the necklace due to the curse. She left the duke's house and went with her parents to their dukedom.
