Well they made it pretty clear that their sex lives with men was unhealthy. There’s lots of women and queer women who live like that and this is who the story is representing. She has a very “go-with-the-flow attitude” and is terrible at setting boundaries.
Jun is rebellious and deviated from her family. She doesn’t have role models around her (by choice) and had to figure out what it meant be an artist since young. Most renowned artists were/are ostracized, depressed, sexually deviant (promiscuous/gay), and politically/behaviorally controversial. Jun puts herself into sexual situations, smoking, isolation from her family, horrible sleep schedules, and terrible eating habits to manufacture the “inspiration” many artists get from their surroundings and lifestyles.
