Could be wrong af since I didn't read the light novel, but im pretty sure she's so bend outta shape over her missing husband because he provided her life a sense of normalcy. I forget which chapters but she said sumth like "He makes me feel normal" which implies that sis was always off her rocker in some capacity. The blindness did suck for her, but she was more than happy to just have bro around to make her feel whole. If I were to theorize a little, the blindness mightve actually worked in her favor as some sort of containment to the crazy. We see her going psycho without her husband, and seeing how most head cases want cures, she's sees her husband as her cure.
The dick this is how she identifies his since she was blind- while it is entirely possible to fake size and shape, we're ignoring that fact lol. I COULD BE MISREMEMBERING but I think she came to the conclusion that her husband must've been undercover because police and such said bro didn't exist, she she discounted his face and voice since those are more commonly faked.
