At this plot point, his original father is a bit of deus ex machina as the point of the story to me is him rebuilding his wealth which could have been a great founder story but instead it's ends up back into "magically running into highly influential powerful person that happens to like favor and want to invest in you". It doesn't really make for an engaging story, at least to me. I'm also concerned how relatively passive his current parents are (the whole they are poor beacuse of 'poverty mindset') and how much the story puts his 1st family in such good light (rare for most corporations let alone the one this comic is referencing) even how relatively light their relationship with 1st family. There is no way their not at least a lack of resentment or drama?
