out of all the manga you have read over the years, you still don't understand history do you? instead of judging things by today's standards where humans live a rather long life. you have to remember if you lived to the age of 60, you were considered a witch (wise one) and a very RARE person. Because most people didn't live past the age of 30. Meaning once a girl started her cycle. she was married off to make sure she had children. And hoped she didn't die during child birth. If she survived to age 20 and was about to have her first child. You could 100% bet she was going to die in child birth and so was the child. You would of been lucky to have a child survive that and have health issues growing up.
Oh, I don’t have a problem with the relationship. I have a problem with that one character that thinks he’s a woman.
And you have to complain about it here why? Again, learn your history. That type of stuff wasn't an issue until around the 1300's. when they started throwing the book around at people more because they wanted to control them more. Gods themselves changed genders depending on who they fell in love with. One of them even changed into an animal to go after someone. Now are any of those tales real? Who knows. Like this manga, it's a story to pass the time. Who cares!!
The whole "... most people didn't live past the age of 30." Is actually just a skewed statistic. Childbirth was a lot more dangerous back then, SO MANY children died during childbirth and childhood. Once they made it to a certain age they were nearly guaranteed to live a full lifetime assuming no wars or unlucky events like plagues or the such. It's not like there WEREN'T old people.
They just tried for, and lost more children. Causing the 'Average lifespan of 30' to be an inaccurate estimate. I'd imagine the average was more like 65 without accounting for children lost during early years or childbirth.
(This is all afaik from basic research via Google and hearsay, so grain of salt and all that, but yeah)

never said there weren't old people. there just weren't a lot of them. sadly the 1300's was a time of the Black Death plague. 50% of Europe poofed, other areas are estimated around 45% give or take because some records are really shotty. illnesses that people died from that could of been prevented by cleaning things and better food handling. Also yea, the whole mass of wars going on didn't help ether. the whole second Crusade, burning of the Templar Knights (1314), witch hunts (people thinking witches caused the Black Death), a few pre-fights to the war of the roses about 100 years later. it was just a really ruff 100 years for all of that area. they tried to have as many kids as they could to replace them and if they were going to die young regardless of what it was from. :: shrugs ::: at least people live and learn
So the huge age gap isn't problem (which I don't think is one tbh) but a side character that see themself differently, somehow makes the whole thing garbage? Among things here ? Wow , I have now word for this, really.
It would appear as though this now garbage is getting an anime adaptation.
