So the cycle of abuse just continued. He lived thought what Kim Dan went though yet he couldn't sympathize with him even a little. I guess seeing the way Kim Dan lived could've reminded him of the past he wanted to forget. His roots and his beginnings. But in trying to not let it define him, he just became another abuser like his dad
