I want to know your opinion

A little debate for those who are interested: Should Dan “forgive” Joo? Should he help Joo win his title? Should they end up together? I'm curious to hear your real thoughts, not just “yes or no.”

Obviously he shouldnt, they shouldn’t be together but with this story they’re still def gonna end up together.

Obviously he should, the story literally made about them. Their growth comes from facing them together. I'm here to see them get together.

Both of them arent required to be together, people can grow and get better by themselves without having a romantic partner. For all we know joo will stay toxic and will only be a bit kinder to Dan and Dan only.

There are romantic stories out there where the journey of the protagonists are romantic but not end up together, thats very normal. They CAN be together, thats up to the author but should? Id have to disagree.

We're taking about jinx here, and this manhwa isn't a "tragedy bl", we all know where this is going and I personally, wouldn't read this if they don't get together or if the story ends on a bittersweet or unresolved note.

I think Dan shouldn’t rush to “forgive” Joo, because the harm and imbalance in their relationship can’t be erased overnight. We also have to remember that Dan agreed to sell himself, in his own way. Maybe Joo was a jerk, but in a twisted sense, Dan managed to “get by” thanks to him. This doesn’t excuse Joo’s behavior at all, but it’s part of the bigger picture. Personally, I’d like to see Joo struggle to win Dan back. I don’t want Dan to just go back to him like nothing happened.

Just because a couple doesn’t end up together means its a tragedy, they can be together or they can have a mutual understanding at the end and not get together and move on with their lives, both are fine for me. I know mingwa has shitty writing and does the typical toxic manwha plot flow so im being asked should they be together? Personally no but I KNOW theyre gonna be together because thats where the story goes so im just stating out MY opinion, not storywise but personal wise.

Wdym Dan shouldn’t rush to “forgive" him? Coz that's not what's he's doing, we're at 73th chapter and nothing happened yet, this is going to be a loooooong story before forgiveness, what you're saying is obvious to me. Dan is not going to forgive him like that.

Sorry darling i dont only read yaoi 24/7, it doesnt even have to be a story but just basic common sense. It happens, its definitely been written out there, and i dont have to narrow it down for you. Youre prolly the type to depend their whole life/happiness in their relationship and decide that in order for others to be happy they have to find a partner. Newsflash buddy, you dont need a romantic relationship to be alive, to be happy and to fucking be a good person or live a fulfilling life. Jesus fucking christ im gonna check ur message history if ur a fucking joo lover im not gonna reply to your dumb ass shit anymore

Youre asking “wdym Dan shouldnt forgive him?” And continue to narrow down exactly why, forgiveness can be long or short and it depends on the person, also in order for forgiveness to even be done there has to be an apology. Your joo jaekyung can start apologizing now and still not be forgiven by ch.150 and thats possible. Forgiveness isnt an on-spot thing, itll take them time and its been happening since a few chapters ago where Dan keeps creating excuses about how Joo is having it harder than him and proceeds to internally forgive Joo for being a jackass. There has been plenty of forgiveness and no damn apologies.

    OMEGA August 10, 2025 6:08 pm

Damn i shouldn't have talked to this fucker, another Joo supporter damned fuck. You're the type to say you like a bl with rape because it’s only fiction. Guess what, if you enjoy a piece of media with a crime whether it be rape or pedophilia, you're no better than those bastards that do it. I came here not to argue and have a decent discussion, i accepted some of your opinions and turned down the ones that are obviously wrong, i did my best to respect your statements while you have your brain plugged and dismissing any other information because you believe yours is absolute. Stop replying and actually start understanding what you read and what is right and wrong.

Lmaaooooo btch XD why you write an essay, don't have time to read all that and you know it. I think you misunderstood my question. I wasn’t asking for relationship advice or making any claims about happiness... I simply asked if you could name a specific yaoi with that type of ending. It’s fine if you don’t know one, but there’s no need for personal attacks or unrelated comments If you can’t answer, just say that instead of going off-topic and throwing tantrums.

    Shiki August 10, 2025 8:45 pm

Omg it would be amazing if even on ch 150 still not forgiven, the more it lasts, the better is the story. But are we still talking about fiction coz seems like you're taking this way too seriously... Don't say "person" you're confusing me. It doesn't depend on person here, it depends on whatever the author wants to do ._.

    Marumi August 10, 2025 9:17 pm

I agree with Omega.. Of course Dan and Joo will finish together but ideally, they shouldn’t end up together. But, I don’t want Dan to forgive Joo quickly. I want him to get his life first, to stand on his own two feet, and for Joo to realize that Dan was never with him for “the money.” The money was only ever for his grandmother, and Dan had never done sex work before. Personally, before any romance, I want Dan to rebuild himself and grow as a person.

Of course it’s fiction, and yes, they’re beautiful together ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ that’s part of why we love it. And I agree, the author can take the story wherever they want, even push the fantasy far. But that’s exactly why it would be so much more satisfying to see Joo truly struggle to win Dan back. In my opinion, even in fiction, it’s powerful to show that self-respect comes first before any romance. That would make their relationship, if it happens, even more meaningful.
