The last part where Leon gives his earrings to cliff is just my theory. I'm sorry for the confusion about that, but I am pretty sure he'll end up running away to find cliff.

As i've been told Leon ends up escaping and went back to the cave, probably to find cliff. (My theory: Leon ends up finding cliff's body thats asleep and tries to get him to wake up but couldn't. He gives cliff his earrings with the last mana he has before he gets captured by nergel who is pissed... And of course cliff ends up waking up to save Leon. ╮(￣▽￣)╭)
