I think in that scenario, she probably meant her old lifestyle with her parent/mother, which was a bit stressful but she had someone she could rely on and she didn't have as much of responsibility she has now.

i didn’t even realize but her mom wrote in the diary that she wanted to see the ocean, but did she mean the actual sea or did she mean daughter, as she called eunsong her little ocean in chapter 13 :(
