I've seen a couple other stories where they got to go home. One of them, they actually were able to connect the two worlds so they could go back and forth.
I don’t know if it’s just me but it makes me a little sad that the person who is unwillingly summoned and wants to return home whole heartedly at the beginning is just “nah, this place is not so bad” nearly at the end. I get its love and stuff but there is just something about it that makes me want to punch a god.
