Quick search has the death toll at 1800 and injuries of 7.5K officially but estimated 20K of actual deaths due to exposure but were not reported as such. In 2016, the company took responsibility and offered compensation to the victims involved.
I think the humidifier disinfectant case was base in real life case. It happened to Korea around Pandemic? It was featured in Rotten Mango how babies died because of this. They're lungs turned hard like stone causing death to thousands of babies
