They spend way too much time on this guy. It would be more interesting if he and yiyoung were a competing couple, but he’s just annoying and no one really cares about his or kang’a backstory. By adding too much detail, I feel like king is a way less believable character somehow. My belief can no longer be suspended

Shit he shouldn’t even be here Hes not important enough for me tbh. I hate jealousy tropes too unless the ML is an ass hole that really deserves it. If they have an argument over something like couples normally do, it does not need a jealousy trope. I just find it childish and annoying. Now if it was like a guy who is just trash, sure hell yeah.

Agree jealousy tropes are tedious especially in a fairly secure relationship, but It’s not even a good jealousy trope. They had so much opportunity to dive more into the realistic issues of Kang’s massive age gap with yiyoung as a source of conflict to drive the second male lead but decided to just go with the most boring route possible of making him unlikable by either of the main characters. I feel like he’s just a temporary plug for a future spin off and that greatly decreases my enjoyment of this author’s work

Exactly. I also kinda thought Yiyoung would realize somehow that Kang is insecure, hence why he said what he said. But I understand both sides were too emotional and one more logical to talk it out with BALANCE. They need balance…oh wait the title lmao, work love balance. But balance is missing.

There’s so much better ways to sort the insecurities and bring light to that, it feels cheap to bring in a third rival party to help see the insecurities. I was disappointed when this happened tbh.
