Top never think merry as his “little brother” but “the precious, he has to protect for the rest of his life and he could’ve given up everything for him”. And merry and top reunited after many years apart so they became couple isn’t not surprising that much…. But yesss I also don’t like drawing style but this is BWAT’s early works and we can see a lot of improvement in these days, they came so farrrr… I also think merry being totally inexperienced about life is annoying like what do you mean he’s inexperienced just bc he lived in countryside? TvT like he doesn’t even suffered from some kind of mental illness TvT

Yeah … merry got all of his father’s features (who died) and gege got his mom’s (silver haired) features. Merry’s mom only loves her husband but accepts gege’s father’s helps. Gege’s father has some kind of unpure intentions (this is my opinion, he likes her). SO merry and gege are not related by blood. [BWAT didn’t write any infos about elders, so I’m not sure but I think gege’s father already live with merry’s mom like they remarried or if not, he divorced gege’s mom and live somewhere else]

I read this story a while back in 5th grade then came back in recent years to reread it and still don’t like it. I hate the age gap between the two not only that but they grew up as siblings! I don’t remember if they’re related or not but it’s still wrong… another things is that the bottom is young asf and hasn’t experienced life outside of the island making him clueless and almost childlike. I hated his design to his lips looked like a fishes mouth anyways. The top was way older and knew that the bottom was inexperienced with life. I was also uncomfortable with them kissing and the bottom calling out “brother” while kissing him.
