Agreed. It's really only western cultures, or broadly ones with Christianity in their history, that even give lip service to the idea that scamming and cheating are bad. Not to say the behavior followed suit, but at least the rule was there and there were attempts to enforce it socially or legally. Now that we are in a post Christian world in the west, and demographics are shifting so non-western peoples are settling in, you are seeing a massive uptick in scamming and cheating, among other things. Because the taboo just isn't there.
I realize that's probably an uncomfortable truth for many because it sounds too right wing, but that's reality.
Why are you pushing for such a racist political narrative? Firstly, the idea that only christian or western cultures consider cheating wrong is just historically false. Virtually every major civilization developed rules against dishonesty, from confucianism that puts emphasis on integrity and condemns deceit, to the code of Hammurabi, one of the earliest legal systems developed to punish fraud. Even common sense says that non-western societies are much more conservative in 2026, and there are still horrible punishments in some countries for infiedility unlike in western societies. Just because there is no "lip-service", doesn't mean that the entire culture doesn't have such values in place.
Secondly, scams were common in western societies even when they were almost entirely christian. Some that come to mind are the South Sea Bubble, which was a massive financial fraud in 18-century Christian Britain, as well as large amounts of the infamous Ponzi schemes and stock frauds that occured throughout western history.
Research in criminology suggests that crime trends increase mostly due to the increase in fraud opportunities, and with the rise of digitalized banks and technology in general, criminals can put themselves online with the protection of anonymity and escape scam attempts without consequences. The reason that non-western scammers are more common in western society is because 1. They have a higher chance of not facing legal actions due to international boundaries and 2. Those that scam to earn a living largely have a much lower social economic status (live in developing countries) and they try to scam those who are likely to be more wealthy (live in developed western societies). Moreover, western scammers also definitely exist even without non-western influence, just that they need to be more discrete and clever with their methods since they stand to lose more if caught in their own country.
I won't deny that many scam calls come from poorer non-western countries in america/European countries but just generalizing that non-westerners all love to scam and cheat while christian westerners don't but are now being influenced by them, just sounds like a racist political agenda that's being pushed to justify racism or deny entry of immigrants to the country. Generalizing and claiming that only western countries had the taboo that scamming or cheating was bad or that Western morality is being eroded by immigrants is not supported by evidence and purely based on cultural stereotypes. If we want to genuinely reduce scams, we should be examining the structural causes of fraud to prevent them instead of blaming entire groups of people for a culture in a country that most of them didn't even have a say in until recent developments, and many still don't despite living in western countries their entire lives.
This is correct. As technology advances, more and more methods of scamming are created at an accelerated rate. This makes it increasingly more difficult to create countermeasures and inform people before they can become victims. Including western countries. The USA. especially.
In the US, most scammers prefer the physical scam method. Portable card chip readers, card skimmers and Trojan QR codes are some of the methods that they have used over the years to scam people out of their hard earned money.
And that's not even taking into account the scammers that try to scam you in person. If you come across a person who says that they will pay for your gas but then ask you to pay them back via chime then they are trying to pull off a chime scam. They use a stolen credit card to pay for your gas, trick you into giving them money and canceling the purchase which would make it look like you are trying to steal gas and they get away with your money. Stay safe and stay aware.

Since when it's the client's fault for the poor security of the bank? She never checked it but so what? You shouldn't have let someone withdraw all that money with a fake proxy letter (/TДT)/
