like it seems like the ml is shallow but the author keeps dropping hints that he’s not? like the leg thing and when he was scared of the fireworks cuz it reminded him of fire; also the thing with the two dogs then just one dog. it feels like the author is trying to make him complex but she also makes him just look like a spoiled brat so i’m confused. i think he has or was growing feelings for mc but was trying to push them away because of the reasons the author is trying to hint at with the stuff above but it feels really inconsistent
