More and more groups are going private because they want to avoid legal repercussions. So they'll make their stuff hard to access and you'll have to sign up (so if they do get ratted out, they can track down who did it). I don't think this group had to stop though. Yes, it's bad etiquette to translate something already being translated, but I feel like if one group is gonna do it privately, then that kind of nullifies it. Don't get mad that someone is translating something you started when no one knows you're translating it because you're so undercover. And if they want to translate it publicly, it's actually protecting you more.
