I think maybe that will be a part of a plot twist… like Derrick Taylor will “expose” them for being gay but it actually just ends up making him look even worse because no one actually cares that much . I hope.
considering what his highschool "friend" said despite being in theatre they might be in/from a more republican state. i cant remember if its said explicitly what state theyre in but yeah. plus something to think about is how most actors arent lgbtq, all of them are trying to become legit actors so statistically it isnt super likely therell be a bunch of queer people. for actors image is everything, its really not that surprising hed want to keep it secret at least for now
