Yeah totally agree with you. I got roped by the out of usual premise, a bit eh with the sex scene but the story is very very interesting. The sex might just be something the author put to get readers excited because it’s very obvious that it’s not really the main mover of the story.
Basically it grabs the attention of the reader with the protagonist's dumb-ass funny and secodn-hand embarassing ability, only to delve into a more romantic and philosophical-ish discourse with the ml's ability
