Unlike Boruto, this one actually fire cuz Suho (Jinwoo's son) has to replace his father who fight a mightier being. This one also had kinda a differrent pace and objective than the first one. Also, i don't know how to put it... but it feels like really different than the OG Solo Leveling but in a good way, not trying to Glaze the story but i think you should give it a try.

    Personally, I love it.
While Jinwoo is very much OP all by himself, Suho, his son is someone who is OP but he still needs party members. Ngl I love how everyone (mostly the S-rank Hunters) in Jinwoo’s story, has a big role to play in this series. Like they don’t just stood there and watch, they also fight alongside the MC.

Jinwoo is away, fighting the enemy in the dimensional rift (or somewhere) and couldn’t leave cuz Earth will be in danger if he does but he realised that some of the enemies got past him and was on earth so, he made Beru go to Suho so that Suho will be able to protect Earth.

i think a lot of times the sequels where the MCs are the kids of the prequel MCs end up relying too much on the hype of the prequel which is why they tend to fall off and not be as good.

Ragnarok is good because even though it is a sequel with the kid it ends up being a bit of a different story on its own due to Suho's abilities being basically the opposite of Jinwoo's. it takes the world and character building from the prequel and shortens the beginnng info and Suho's development to move the story along faster.

Suho's abilities also allow previous characters to have more of a presence in the story rather than just be background characters like in Jinwoo's story. I also like the element that a lot of the new characters are the successors and/or kids of the previous monarchs. that's pretty cool in my opinion.
