GAHH I LOVE YOU FOR THIS OMG. i echoed this exact sentiment in my comment and got downvoted to hell lol it was tragic. i'm glad to see other people who share the same opinion as me. i'm really disappointed with this manhua because it had such a strong beginning, but hill quickly changed to be very unlikeable and selfish.
i also had the EXACT SAME REACTION when he called xing mu selfish xing mu is the most selfless, respectful and kind alpha i've ever seen and he dares to call his love for him and their child "selfish desires." i've never been more angry at a fictional character. i honestly would've liked it if xing mu found someone else who loves him and the baby, and then hill realises how bad he fucking fumbled.
