Ogus's Law was the first one to make me realize this. Most of the issues with manhua are the translations. But if it's translated right, the pretty drawings and loveable characters are just bonuses to an amazing plot. They require more substance to become popular enough to make it to us.
manhuas do deliver when done right. When a manhua is completed (usually get dropped or not translated), and when well translated (appreciate effort ) then it really makes for an entertaining read. This relies on delivery of a good story rather than the smut and penis drawings.
The art is also gorgeous.
