If the author wanted it to be about Byul, then Hyesungs shitty egg doner should never have been brought up. And Byul is old enough to know what he was doing is wrong and that he has NO right to hold his mom's second thoughts against him. The two issues are NOT the same. Hyesungs mom abandoned him and left him in an abusive household. She only came back for money. And Byul knows that. Yet still chose that nasty persom over Hyesung. Don't even get me started on the husband's betrayal. I would divorce over that. Easily.
"this is byul story" is not an excuse to add hyesung trauma as stepping stone for byul story then throw the plot in ocean
