I read the sequel first and got really confused then I found out that this wasn't the main str. I love the main str but in the sequel MC just annoying af Tbh it wasn't bad but compared to main str it is just straight up billshut and I don't think the author address their problem very well btw

I don’t think he was serious. I checked and it really wasn’t that bad. While there is truth that if he wasn’t with Yoshino and had never met him, he would be with Niko in a way, but the hypothetical scenario doesn’t matter since the only one Rou loves is Yoshino.

He simply said that to comfort the other annoying guy since the guy was feeling insecure and poor self image. I have said it to other people too, casually, not seriously. I can see why it comes off as flirting but the way Rou was quick to say he is dating someone shows his intention was not that.

However, I think the author fucked up because that was absolutely unnecessary. It made me anxious the whole time seeing Rou go over to his home even if it was once. Staying over…kind of dismissive of Yoshino feeling uncertain.

Though his quick apology and all made up for it. I’m still disappointed in the little nonsense drama.

Well, I obviously said that sequel wasn't bad but it is ass compared to the main str from my POV. I tried to reread it a few times but each time I was getting so mad and my rating for this sequel keep dropping. I was yearning for their fluff not this shitty angst U didn't like how Rou got over with that halfass apology too, how can Yoshino even trusts him that much...

It’s simple, Yoshino is too good for him. I’ll be very happy if the author makes another story where they break up and Yoshino finds a dilf mature man or similar aged.

Same I hope they at least break up and Rou has a chasing arc as Yoshino starts talking to another man who is more mature

I never liked Rou that much, and was secretly hoping Yoshino left him. First story he was manipulative as hell and fell too quick for me to believe he changed, whole pacing was off. Second story he was dismissive and acting too casual with a stranger, had he said what he said (the if I was single) to a friend, I’d kinda get it cause friends joke, but he willingly stayed with a somewhat stranger/coworker so easily. Nope!

Yoshino chased him too much in first story and even here. Always Rou fixed his mistakes because of other people, not because he himself thought for once.

Sorry for the rambling. And I agree! I’ll kowtow a thousand times if author makes a third story with new partner lol. And Rou can find someone similar aged.

me n you are on the same boat. a lot of people in the sequel comments acted like Rou wasnt already like this, the main reason it feels really bad is because the chapters are already so short so having it focused on rou taking care of some random side character that showed up for almost the entirety of the sequel instead of yoshino, really highlighted his bad traits plus that comment he made was awkward since the story was already so focused on his relationship w the side character.
