Sunbae and hoobae had a thing in high school but sunbae orchestrated a gang rape against hoobae (idk why), filmed it, and spread the footage (even to hoobae’s parents). This is why hoobae is torturing him, for revenge, but sunbae had an accident and suffered memory loss. He never gains that memory back either, so hoobae just keeps escalating the torture. Hoobae never gets any closure and sunbae just breaks completely
Okay, just read a looong spoiler. It was more than once and sunbae was basically just a POS internalised homophobia bully. Hoobae knows the entire time that sunbae doesn’t remember. At first, he doesn’t want revenge, but basically, upon seeing that sunbae hasn’t changed, he takes revenge. I don’t think sunbae ever fully remembers, but he ends up in a coma having flashback dreams, partially remembering? He’s also told about it. This red room arc supposedly goes on for months, he trauma bonds with hoobae because he gets no human contact. When he later escapes, he’s brutally gangraped again. It ends with him so traumatised, submissive, and scared (because of gr), that he begs to be with hoobae (he also makes several suicide/self harm attempts)
i heard that the sunbae does end up staying with the hoobae till the end but omg i didnt know how bad it kept getting thats so horrible
Welp. That’s my cue to stop reading. I like toxic, but not that toxic.
thank you for freeing me from my prison, i can finally stop reading this. the author is definitely insane
maybe for scientific purposes i want to see what kind of reason the author could even imagine to deserve this type of treatment, i dont think anything will justify the amount of pain the character went through in the story up to now.
so if anyone could spoil the novel to me, so i can stop torturing myself I'd be thankful
