For me it’s not even that but that they are very elaborately planning to tell each other, even making an appointment for it. At this point just get it over with, I really like the story but it’s dragging quite a bit right now

I think this is a cultural difference. My Japanese friends are alll about sending invites for whatever outings and events, and they'll do so with their partners as well. (= • ω • =)
I get that it's the whole premise to be in this fake relationship but how many chapters are they going to continue having the same realization that they like the other person lol
