Fair I guess? I take it as the Irene her is her original personality, but she was much more serious and reserved in her last life because they were a society always fighting with little peace and she knew Ciel didn’t like her much. I agree, she could have been written a little smarter.
You’re entirely right about ciel though, the author seemingly left out a lot of his time in Korea, and any secret thought he might have about actually liking her, because it feels like they were avoiding having to justify his personality change or something. I think they wanted to make her sacrifice the turning point but didn’t elaborate on it at all.
I still like the story if I ignore the plot holes, and I’m hoping they’ll go back and do his pov at some point
I am also very curious about the fact that how the prience doesn't remember anything about Korea, as he was also went there with fake saints and our ml? And how is that everyone involved dont ask questions about it? Like what happened to the prience when he went with them to Korea and ml was married to fl? Like did he also not experience the shock like ml? Why he is so vague in the story when he was involved in major things?

I’m tapping out at ch 45
It’s not just the massive personality change she’s weirdly disinterested in, she isn’t at all curious how he’s even there?
I can’t get over how him not just physically being a match, but actually knowing who she is and having a very obvious established attachment to her didn’t absolutely floor her. I just can’t relate to this, I’d have so many questions. Like ‘hang on, are you originally from here?’.
But maybe author-nim didn’t want to have her ask questions that would establish him as a human trafficking victim so the relationship drama about his behaviour in the country he was tricked into going to, imprisoned in and forced to fight for could be dragged out as long as possible. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
