He someone who was abandoned by his birth parents when he was 8. He was scared of getting abandoned again so he acted like the perfect son to his adoptive parents. Before he was adopted, wooyeon's mother sponsored dohyun, thats how she got control over him. She hired dohyun to help wooyeon learn English and to keep an eye on him. Dohyun said yes but he felt extremely guilty, it didn't take him long to figure out a lot of things about wooyeon. Well he soon started to notice the affection that wooyeon had for him. Which made dohyun feel even more guilty but at the same time he enjoyed having someone like him like wooyeon did. Dohyun knew he should have put boundaries but he didn't and now it was too late. Dohyun doesn’t really react much if he saw someone crying but he was freaking out when he saw wooyeon crying, that's the first time he cared that much. From that point on, Wooyeon started to show more affection towards dohyun and dohyun was enjoying it. Then it happened, Wooyeon confessed his feelings then everything came crashing down. He felt too guilty about this entire situation so he ran to the military. Then 4 years later they meet again. At the gate, dohyun didn't recognise Wooyeon at first until he was talking to moon garam, she was talking to him about this new freshmen who was cute. Everything was normal until she tells dohyun his name. As soon as dohyun heard wooyeon's name, he started to run to where wooyeon was hoping to catch him. Then we fast forward to the drinking session where they meet face to face. Moon garam was making wooyeon uncomfortable so dohyun casually sits next to wooyeon blocking off moon. Moon says that the freshman, he stops and looks at him for while. He thinks to himself that he's beautiful. Then we go the scene when wooyeon said dohyun's smile was fake. Which hurt dohyun cause sure he doesn't care about what others think of his smile but he always smiled genuinely at wooyeon. From then on, he did anything in his power to make dohyun happy and to be near him. He actually admitted his feelings for wooyeon in that rain scene in the manhwa. He was actually gonna tell wooyeon everything after that movie but wooyeon got drunk and said a few things about missing dohyun. It made dohyun scared to tell wooyeon, he didn't want wooyeon to abandon him and leave him. he couldn't bring himself to tell him anymore. And yes he does tell wooyeon everything at a later date.
