She wanted to prove that heavenly beings especially ascended once can turn into demons and wanted the realm to basically do a reform on the law to account for this and maybe treat demons differently but they refused to heed her and she basically used ryeong to prove it. That rich man’s son that was obsessed with ryeong wen he was younger, who abused him and then killed ryeongs father to punish him for rejecting him was sent by her

I get wanting to change the order of things so that order is maintained but using this was a truly insane way to go about it. And like she’s gotten the result she wanted ultimately but the method sickens me to my core. She wrecked ryeongs life and came into it placing herself in a position of power and trust over him to further her goals and that sickens me even further. Like she’s literally the reason and orchestrator of all his misfortune. Even the ones not caused by her are caused by her and ryeong is constantly sacrificing himself for the ppl he loves and cares about . If this story ends without him getting his vengeance and most of all without the decimation of the heavenly realm I’m gon be pissed asf. It’s all of them being so fucking self righteous to the point they refuse to account for their own mistakes. The whole thing with jae from wen he was first cast out till his imprisonment and more is literally a manifestation of the greed and folly.
