I'm genuinely confused by your comment... I read the novel and even went back to chapter 25 to double check... and ML quite literally comes onto Ihyeon. Weikun (ML) comes onto the bed, crawls on top of him, strokes his body, presses his body down on Ihyeon underneath him... all while our MC is dazed and crying. Weikun not only asks if Ihyeon would like to forget, but then states that he will/can do that for him. Ihyeon never even verbally replies.
May I ask what parts led you to believe Ihyeon asked for it? (Genuinely, sincerely asking!)
I also own the chapters on Ridi~
Chapter 25 (in the English translations online) corresponds to chapter 40 on Ridi when buying the individual chapters... in chapter 40 on Ridi, on page 12 and 13... Lau WiKun (ML) comes onto Yihyeon exactly as I described and as the manhwa depicts...
I'm sorry, but whatever translation you read was incorrect. The manhwa is correct.
If you'd like proof, I can copy and paste page 12 and 13 here (the original Korean text) for you to read yourself~
I completely agree with you!
I'm just surprised how this scene could be confusing for translators... context is everything...
Yihyeon just had a panic episode (hyperventilation), is described as being haunted and overwhelmed by his past trauma (described in the paragraphs leading up to WiKun's proposition), and is said to be unable to fall asleep because he's crying and overwhelmed... Finally, in a desperate attempt to find even a modicum of solace, Yihyeon asks WiKun if he at least liked his painting... and in response... WiKun offers to, "make him forget"... as he watches Yihyeon struggling...
Even if this particular scene didn't give you enough context to understand who said what... Yihyeon was described as a 22 year old virgin who thought he liked girls up until he met WiKun... the novel also describes Yihyeon as shy, quiet, and anything but bold...
How... how is a main character like this supposed to proposition a man 10 years his senior to have a sexual entanglement... while in distress?
It makes zero sense to me >.<
I'm sorry >.<
Sidenote: I completely understand readers are more inclined to just accept the text as written, even if it seems ridiculous, because that's what's on the page... especially, if you don't have access to the original novel and/or don't understand the original language of the work.
The onus is really on the translators, even more so, if they are charging money!
Good luck everyone~
