There’s a difference between being soft and just being an idiot
Whether it’s a god or a king:
A “kind but weak” king is as dangerous to his people as a tyrant.
“Being kind” is only an asset when it’s a trait owned by someone who can say “no and stop”.
Being a doormat isn’t being kind, it’s being used.
Essentially this MC is selfless like “the giving tree”. I would like this story more if the MC didn’t allow others to disrespect or take advantage of him
I just realize that some people weirdly like the story “the giving tree”. They think it’s sweet. So let me substitute that title with the short story, “the most foolish traveler in the world”, from fruits basket (the anime). Because honestly, same difference.
