Ok so the king wants Joffrey dead, but edward likes joffrey in his own weird way and doesn’t want him to be hurt, maybe also thinks joffrey knows abt the queens plans and maybe that joffrey supports the queen, the queen wants edward dead, joffrey following the novel plot can’t let that happen and tries to protect edward in his own way, I really like the plot I do, and the characters are so cute especially as kids, but the translation is so off
