here’s an excerpt from the second-to-last chapter:
“Bae Jaewon's grand matchmaking—no, handsome man investment project, which had started with ‘I've been transmigrated into an internet novel?!’, came to a humble end with the revelation of the inside story:
‘In truth, I was dimensionally transferred into someone else's past.’ It was a more anticlimactic ending than expected, but in the world of investment where one misstep can lead to ruin, one must be grateful even for an average outcome.”
jaewon is under the impression that dojeon is the “protagonist” of a book that he has been isekai’d into, and he’s not wrong, per se, but he’s not right, either…
…because there is no book.
jaewon THINKS he’s in a book, but he’s actually just someone inserted into dojeon’s past.
it’s a plot twist to end all plot twists!! unexpected, unique, but confusing as all hell lol

i think that neither the mc nor the ml originally belongs to this world. the mc believes he is searching for someone else, but in reality, he is searching for himself. and the mc’s face and body was already belong to someone else—he has entered another person’s body. that is why he looks so familiar to the side characters, and it is also the reason why the white haired man thinks he knows him. however, i couldn't figure out why ml is in the book with mc, any theories about this?
