Are you referring to "My Beloved Oppressor" perhaps? Heiner Valdemar and Annette Rozenberg story?
Because, that is what I'm seeing in this manhwa too, even the panel of stages of what they've been through is the same.
I don't know which novel came out first or is it the same author but storyline look similar to me somehow. The other one doesn't have the author written in it but it was uploaded by the same person -AkumaKira - my favorite uploader.
Anyhow, comparatively, they both came out strong to me, unforgettable but, I find MBO more heart wrenching and tear jerking, really unforgettable.
Maybe because it was more realistic to me and not a regression type of story.
i get what you mean. i’m not a huge fan of reading stories that overlap, but with these two it felt like two different takes on how to heal in order to live happily together.
with MBO they had to heal and figure out life separately before they could heal together as a couple, whilst this one is more about learning about each other in order to heal together. the reason why i didn’t like MBO as much is that the MLs oppression went a little to far imo. as mush as it may have been more realistic, her going back to her abuser left a sour taste in my mouth. i get that hurt-people, hurt people, but idk them getting back together didn’t feel as impactful to me as these two for some reason
I don't know why you think Heiner is an abuser. He never hurt Annette physically or mentally, he just didn't communicate as he should and maybe partly because he married her for a reason. I get why people hatin on him because he directed everything to Annette instead of just getting revenge on her father. But Ian is the same in their first life.
But then again, it is the angst that rile people in.
If for you, this is better than the other one. We'll, we can agree to disagree .
Both works are beautifully written, plots are executed well and not rushed. Both are a good read.

this whole story has gone through its ups and downs, but tbh i feel like this chapter kinda redeemed the downs a little. yes, they’re both pretty frustrating at times, but in some way it’s kinda realistic. i don’t remember the name of this other manhwa, but i’ve subconsciously been comparing it to another war-story with a blond FL and black haired ML with a «right person wrong time —> right person right time» story. but i think i prefer the way they resolved this better. overall this was a nice story with great art and good romance (like ROMANCE romance if that makes sense)
