One thing about revolution is that often its pioneers end up struck down by the very same blade they wielded. This manhwa is very obviously inspired by the French Revolution, I suggest you look up Robespierre, for example. His fate is similar to that of these two characters.

But can someone tell me why Jean had to kill two of his colleagues? The knight and his lover? Like I saw the guillotine, but does it say why he had to off them?
